The Infection Bad Ending: Creating A New World
As Darkiplier cried, Henrik and Anti just stared at the monitor screen in Anti’s hideout. The area was so silent, a pin drop could’ve been heard as they just stared shocked and horrified at the image. Anti eventually blinked and tore his eyes away from the dismay, but he couldn’t bring himself to look at his older brother.‘You could’ve teleported there…’ The doctor’s quiet voice eventually broke the silence.I̵ ̵w̵o̶uld̶n'̷t ̷h̵a̵ve ̶g̵o̶t ̶there ̵fa̶s̵t̷ ̵e̵n̵o̶u̵g̶h-‘YOU COULD’VE HELPED!’ Henrik suddenly yelled, glaring at his glitchy brother. Anti’s elf-like ears drooped as he looked upset, raising his clawed hands up in defence, H̵enri̵k̵,̵ ̴w̶e w̶ould̴n̵'t h̵a̴ve̶ ̴kn̶own ̵this wa̶s̶ ̵h̴a̶ppen̴ing! He yelped.‘BUT THERE WAS ENOUGH TIME FOR YOU TO TELEPORT!’ Henrik interrupted angrily before he choked and looked upset, ‘VE JUST WATCHED ZAT WHOLE THING! DOING NOTHING!’ Anti just watched him, his ears drooping as he looked guilty, H͘en͞ri̢k...͏e̕ven͞ ̸i̵f I ͏di͏d͟ ͜teleport͟...I'm not̵ s͡tron̨g ͢e̕noùgh ̶t͞o̧ ̢f̢ig̀ht͝ ́a͏ll ̴thre͏e͜ ͡o͏f͝ ́t̵ho͟s͡e ̵ŗobot̷s Anti muttered weakly. This was when Henrik’s face relaxed, as he fully realized the extent of the glitch’s injuries and he realized his brother was right. He then nodded and let out a deep exhale, ‘You’re right…I’m sorry…’ he muttered before looking back at the monitors. He then frowned: he couldn’t find Dawktrap on them at all. ‘Anti? You said ze monitors show most of ze Void. Vhat does it not show?’ Henrik eventually asked, slowly sounding concerned.T̴he ̴Ed̵ge-wait.̴.̵. Anti answered immediately, as if it was second nature, then stopped as he realized. At the same time, his ears perked up shocked as he widened his eyes.Henrik also widened his eyes, ‘VHAT?!’ He screeched then looked to the monitors, panicked, ‘do you think Dawktrap iz going zhere?!’ He said. However, Anti had already grabbed the doctor’s wrist, his body glitching crazily, ready to teleport.Y̴es̶, h̶e̶ m̷ust̶ be. W̵e n̶ee̵d ̵t̶o ̶get t̵h̴er̵e ̵no̴w. Anti said confidently before teleporting the two of them out of his hideout.***Despite being teleported to The Edge, they soon realized they were too late: a blinding white light immediately greeted the two brothers and Henrik yelled, covering his eyes from the sudden change of light, while Anti hissed and glared straight in front of him. D͟A͠WK̡͜T͠ŔA̴P N͢͝O! Anti screeched, encouraging Henrik to slowly uncover his eyes. Gradually, his eyes adjusted to the brightness, and he looked horrified as he saw Dawktrap standing right by the gateway, a smug smile on his face.‘Too late! I’m done with this miserable world and ready for the next part of my plan!’ Dawktrap screeched gleefully, his eyes manic, before he turned back to the bright light and walked through it, waving back at the two. At first, the two watched stunned, before Anti growled and started running towards the light. However, he was too late, and the place was plunged into darkness the second Dawktrap walked through. Dawktrap had returned to the Surface.Anti practically fell over his feet as he halted, his face paling. He then blinked, just staring into the darkness where the light had previously been. ‘Anti!’The glitch spun round at Henrik’s yell and realized the doctor had run to the computer and was now frantically typing. ‘Ve need to open it back up! Ve need to go through!’An͟d d̶o wha͝t? Ẃh̡a͏t ̡c͞a͞ņ ųs̴ ͢tw̢o ͝d̢o? Anti asked defeated.Schneep now glared, determined, ‘Ve are not giving up; ve collect up anyone who hasn’t been…’ Henrik said confidently but hesitated a little before gulping, ‘…taken…and ve all go through to ze Surface’.Anti frowned as he thought, but then looked back at the darkness where Dawktrap had vanished; they were running out of time to do anything, and this was the only plan they had. He then looked back at the doctor and nodded, before suddenly appearing next to him. Ok͠, I̧'ll g̀at̢h͡ęr̕ ̡whoeve̵r's̴ l̶eft͠.̶ y̢ou op̢en t̀h͝e ̵gatew͝a̵y up.͠ Anti responded with, already switching the other computer on.Henrik nodded and went to work on getting the gateway to the Surface open. Anti watched his brother before he glitched, turning back to the computer. He watched as the glitches connected and wrapped round the machine, before it started to write out a message to all the egos. He looked focused, but he was extremely worried on the inside: Dawktrap was now back in the real world. What was going to happen now?‘Ok, ze gateway should open soon. Have you sent ze message?’ Henrik suddenly said, snapping Anti out of his thoughts. The demon glitched, staring at Henrik before realizing what he was asking. He quickly nodded.A̧h y͞e͢s!͘ ͏It'̕s ͢senţ! He said very quickly, then sighed as he looked at the message on the monitor, I'̀ve͞ t͘o̧l͢d͠ th͘em ̀t̨o com͟e her͟e bu͝t̀.͢..̧I d͞o̕n̵'̨t thi͘nk t̕h͢e͏re̡'s many of͞ us̢ lef̢t͘: ̶Dr ̴Iplie̛r, ̢Marvi͡n, D͟ark͡. He then sighed, ‘I know, I know…’ he said quietly but then looked stern, ‘but, if ve don’t do something, then who knows vhat Dawktrap will do’ he almost growled, taking Anti by surprise. He knew that Chase’s death had greatly affected the doctor, but it had really determined him to make things right. And Anti couldn’t blame him; he was always one for chaos, but this was too far. It didn’t take long for the remaining egos to get Antisepticeye’s message and the glitch noticed that they all looked worried, but a hint of anger was present too: Marvin was fidgeting with his cat mask while Dr Iplier was looking at the spot where the gateway usually appeared. But Darkiplier looked as if he was about to explode with anger: his high-pitched whistling that always accompanied him was deafening now and Anti watched as Marvin tried to comfort him. A movement on his left tore his eyes away from the angry egos and to Henrik, who looked stern and confident.‘Ze gateway iz ready to be opened, but ve are going to have to split up’ he began before sighing, ‘ve don’t know where Dawktrap iz but, if each of us go to one of our friends, ve can catch him quickly’ he said. When the egos didn’t look so sure, he scoffed and looked at Darkiplier.‘You! Go to Thomas Sanders and see how he is. Ask if he’s seen Dawktrap and stay with him until ve know things have been resolved’ Henrik ordered, before motioning for Anti to open the gateway. Anti nodded in acknowledgement before teleporting to the main computer and activating the emergency opening. The white light that quickly followed caused most of the egos to shield their eyes or yelp, surprised. However, Darkiplier didn’t even flinch. Glaring, he confidently marched straight to the light and went through without saying a word or looking back. Anti watched, once again feeling a huge weight of guilt in his stomach. ‘Anti?’If he had been stronger, he could’ve saved Wilford-‘ANTI!’Henrik’s yell suddenly snapped the glitch out of his thoughts, and he looked at his older brother a little non-plussed and confused. eh̶͒? He says quietly. Henrik looked at his brother a little sympathetic but sighed, still standing in the same place.‘Anti, go to Mark’ he said quietly. At Anti’s confusion, he continued, ‘I don’t mean to upset, but I don’t vant you going to Jack; I vill’ Anti glitched a little, as he looked a little offended. However, he nodded: they didn’t have time to argue.o̶k̴.̶..̵ the glitch mumbled, dragging his feet to follow Henrik towards the gateway. As he watched the light start to engulf his whole vision, he started to feel very nervous, but also weak: he had definitely met his match with Dawktrap. Plus, what would happen if they failed to find him?As they stood in front of the gateway, Henrik glanced over at his brother and noticed his face paling with worry. He sighed and gently nudged Anti’s arm, causing the demon to glitch and face him. ‘Ve vill resolve zhis’ Henrik said quietly, smiling weakly. But, as they looked at each other then at the gateway, they both knew this was empty words. And, with a deep breath, the two brothers stepped through as well. ***Being the first one to step through, Darkiplier found himself in the entrance hallway of a well-kept house. Frowning, he looked round; with the Sander Sides looking exactly like Thomas, he knew who to look for, but he didn’t know if Dawktrap had got to him yet. ‘Thomas? Are you here?’ he called out and grimaced as he heard the nervousness in his voice; he hated it. He didn’t have to wait long for an answer. As he heard his name, Thomas suddenly appeared in view at the end of the hallway, practically crashing into the staircase that lined one side, before looking up at Dark. And the sight was worse than the ego had expected. The Youtuber’s face was extremely pale, with blackened bags under his eyes, giving them a sunken look. But his eyes were the worst: they were a vibrant purple. ‘M-mark?’ Thomas said weakly, leaning against the staircase. He looked exhausted and confused as the changes took hold of him quickly, and Dark’s stomach dropped. ‘Not Mark, but…well…a character of his’ Dark hesitantly said; he figured, with the current scenario, there was no point hiding it. Thomas just stared confused, but started to step forward, using the staircase for balance. At this, Dark stepped back a little but quickly realized he couldn’t go any further; his back was against the front door. Now he showed no sign of hiding his fear. ‘I…don’t know…what’s happening…they’re not in here…’ Thomas said slowly, clearly struggling to get the words out. ‘The Sanders Sides, they’re…not doing well.’ Dark said, trying to sound as confident as he could. But Thomas’ constant movement was worrying him, ‘but that’s why I’m here; I can help you’.Thomas looked at him, a little hopeful and took another step forward, quickly closing the gap on the two, ‘No help…’ he suddenly mumbled, before suddenly stopping. His head drooped and he sniffled. Dark stared at him, really unsure of what to do now and frowned, his hand trying to feel for the door handle, ‘What do you mean ‘no help’?’ he asked quietly. Thomas stayed still for a few seconds before suddenly erupting into giggles and Dark flinched: it didn’t sound like Thomas’ voice at all, but Dawktraps. And then the Youtuber looked up; he was smiling gleefully, but his purple eyes were glaring. ‘You just need to join us’ he said amused…before he charged at Dark. With his back against the door, Darkiplier didn’t get a chance to move out of the way and yelled as Thomas slammed into him, pinning his arm against Dark’s chest. Dark tried to fight against the Youtuber, but Thomas was too strong; unnaturally strong. The ego gritted his teeth as he fought and glared at the vibrant purple eyes.‘THOMAS LET GO OF ME!’ He growled but Thomas just cackled.‘JOIN US! JOIN US!’ The Youtuber chanted over and over as he smiled widely. As Dark struggled, he noticed that Thomas was trying to maintain eye contact. In protest, he quickly looked away and blinked, confused: Dark’s vision was starting to fade to purple. He yelled, glitching red and blue, before looking back at Thomas. ‘LET GO!’ Dark yelled one more time, but the tone wasn’t as confident or threatening now; he could feel himself becoming weaker as the purple clouded his vision more and more.Thomas giggled, then tilted his head, ‘Just relax; it doesn’t hurt and soon you’ll be joining us! You won’t have to worry about anything soon!’ he squealed delighted and Dark yelled out one last time as his red and blue eyes merged to purple. ***Mark Fiscbach knew who had invaded his home the second he heard the glitching sounds. He got up from his office chair and immediately ran for his tactical shovel. Gripping it tightly, he exhaled heavily; he knew what Antisepticeye was capable of as he’d seen some of the videos the glitch was in. And, yes, he’d spoken to him once or twice on video call, but the character actually being in his house was a different thing entirely!Tiptoeing to the door, he slowly opened it and peeked out into the hallway nervously. There was no one there, and Mark started to breath a sigh of relief-B̵̨͐eh̵͛in̵͂d̵ ya̵ ̶dips̶hitMark let out a high-pitched scream as Anti’s growling voice appeared close behind him, before swinging the shovel to the glitch’s face. Unfortunately for the glitch, the shovel swung round on his blind side, so wasn’t able to dodge in time and it made quick connection with his cheek, creating a sickening cracking sound. Anti was immediately thrown back a little, and he put his hand to his face, screaming and glitching messily. He then glared at Mark. W̵̘̚H̵A̶T̵ W̴AS T̴HAT̴ FO̵R̵?! The ego practically screeched, his jaw clicking back into place as his mouth moved. Mark winced at this but looked sheepish.‘Er…sorry…I thought you were gonna…hurt me…’ the Youtuber explained slowly; as he watched the ego fix his jaw back into place, he started to realize how silly he was sounding. Anti coughed, narrowing his eyes at Mark. He then huffed, glitching messily, Th̴at d̴epe̵nd̴s o̶n whether ̵w̵e ̶can fix t̴he̵ is̵su̵e̷ with̴ D̴aw̴ktrap; he̷ retu̵rne̶d h̶e̴reMark’s face paled immediately, and he dropped the shovel, which fell to the carpeted floor with a dull thud. ‘HE’S HERE?! But…I thought you were gonna resolve this?!’ he spluttered in disbelief.Anti glared, but his ears drooped; he still felt guilty for not preventing Wilford’s death and now he felt a new guilt for not stopping Dawktrap from coming back here. He gave Mark an apologetic look before sighing.w̵e ̶tried bu̶t..̵.we ̵weren't̸ q̵ui̶ck ̴en̴ough...̸Mark choked and spluttered, before dragging his fingers through his hair, a look of panic on his face, ‘Well…we need to stop him! Where is he?! We need to go now!-’Anti just stared at Mark as he kept talking and his ears twitched sharply, growing annoyed. The truth was he didn’t know where Dawktrap was, but he shouldn’t be panicking; that never helped anyone-Kill HimAnti blinked confused as a new voice entered his head: he was used to hearing voices, but it was usually his own. And, yet this one was vaguely familiar. He growled and, on reflex, smacked his head before growling again. ‘Anti…? Can you hear me?’Mark’s voice sounded so far away…It will be easyAnti screeched in protest, making Mark flinch and step back. The Youtuber frowned, now concerned, before stepping closer again, ‘Anti, what’s wrong?’ Anti just shook his head as he bent over, clamping his clawed hands to his head. He tightly shut his eyes, trying to ignore the new voice…but it sounded so friendly…so soothing…Or…he can join us…And Anti's eyes snapped open with horror. He remembered where he had heard that voice before; it was the voice that stayed in his head when he had gotten possessed by Dawktrap. He slowly turned to look up at Mark, his eyes slowly filling with tears.Mark took another step forward, worried, ‘Anti-’ he started to say, but suddenly gasped and stepped back, eyes wide: bits of purple was starting to show through Antisepticeye’s black eyes. R̴u̶n! was all Anti growled; it was clear his second fight against Dawktrap’s possession was, once again, not working.Mark didn’t need to be told twice; he frantically ran from the room and practically leaped downstairs to get to the front door. It wasn’t until he was at the door that he realized he’d left his shovel in his office; he could’ve used it as a weapon. Silently cursing, he took his keys out of his pocket, and fumbled with the door lock.‘C’mon c’mon’ he muttered quickly, breathing quickly in fear as he went to put the keys in the lock. That was when he heard the tormented screech of Antisepticeye coming from upstairs. He winced and turned his attention back to the lock; he knew that this possession had taken Anti, and he was running out of time. It took a few more seconds than he would’ve liked, thanks to his shaking hands, but, finally, the key went into the lock. Breathing a sigh of relief, he quickly turned the key, unlocking the door, and swung it open. He took one quick look behind him before running out-And yelled as he felt claws dig into the back of his shoulders and pull him back inside. He was thrown back into the hallway and yelped as his punctured shoulder blade hit the corner of the staircase banister. It felt like hot pokers had dug into his flesh, it burnt so much. Mark continued to groan in pain as Anti marched up to him growling. As he got closer, Mark finally looked up and his eyes widened with fear: Anti’s eyes were glowing purple and he looked angry and almost animalistic. Clearly, Dawktrap viewed this ego more as an animal than a man and, in this case, he was right. Mark whimpered, ‘Anti please…it’s me, you know me’ he said quietly, sliding back against the banister. However, Anti wasn’t listening, and, with a monstrous screech, he was suddenly crouched in front of the Youtuber, glitching messily. Before Mark could even react to this, the glitch grabbed his face and, with the tip of his claws, started to pry his eyes open fully. Mark immediately clamped his hands to Anti’s wrists to try and get him off, but he wasn’t even budging. ‘ANTI NO! DON’T! LET GO!’ The Youtuber yelped, his eyes already watering from the struggle. He could only focus on the glitch’s bright purple eyes; his attacker wasn’t letting him see anything else. ‘STOP!’ Mark yelled again, still trying to convince Anti to let go. But the glitch was long gone, and he screeched again in response. The Youtuber whimpered and tried to fight against what was happening, but the glitch was stronger. As he continued to stare into the purple eyes, he knew he wasn’t escaping whatever Dawktrap had planned for them. ***Elsewhere, Dr Iplier was having issues too. He had gone to visit Ethan and had to be the one to tell him that, aside from Blank, all his egos were dead. At first, the Youtuber didn’t believe him and scolded him but, as he took notice of how serious the doctor was being, he knew that he was telling the truth and, as expected, was extremely upset over it. So, Dr Iplier had been comforting Ethan when it happened, and his heart dropped. His vision was being clouded by the colour purple. He quickly stood up from the chair he was sitting in, going as far from Ethan as he could.‘Hey, what’s wrong?’ Ethan asked, also standing, his face streaked with tear stains. He blinked as the doctor groaned, clutching his head.‘Save yourself-!’ the ego started to say between gritted teeth, a sign of his struggle. But it didn’t take long for the possession to take hold and, with a last strained yell, Dr Iplier’s eyes glowed purple. Another doctor ego had also made it to the Surface: Henrik had been teleported inside Jack’s house by the front door. His heart beating quickly, he tiptoed through the house to look for his creator. He didn’t know how the others would get on, but he was trying to stay hopeful. Searching round the ground floor of the house showed no signs of the Irishman. Henrik started to grow hopeful; maybe he wasn’t home yet, and he could catch him before Dawktrap caught up to him. THUDIt was a dull sound, but it was there directly above Henrik’s head. He looked up before running straight to the stairs. He wanted to be as quiet as possible, in case Dawktrap was there, but he was aware he was stomping up the stairs. He couldn’t help it; he was desperate for any good news now. ‘JACK!’ the yell escaped his mouth as he got to Jack’s recording room and threw the door open…and was immediately met with purple lightening. Henrik’s shocked scream was quickly cut off as the lightening shot towards him and quickly wrapped round his arms and mouth, pinning his arms tightly to his sides. His eyes watered as the lightening stung every part of his body and he could only watch as he was pulled into Jack’s recording room, and he gave out a muffled squeak. Dawktrap was standing at the back of the room, smiling smugly, the lightening coming from his raised fingertips. Next to him, though, was Jack. His head was down a little, as if he was starting to fall asleep but he looked stern and determined; it was like he was awaiting orders. And his eyes were glowing purple. ‘You like it? I think he’s made an improvement!’ Dawktrap said slyly before chuckling coldly. Henrik glared and tried to yell, but the lightening didn’t let him. Dawktrap blinked then tilted his head, holding his other hand to his ear, ‘what was that? I didn’t hear you’ he said before smiling coldly. He then raised a finger and the lightening round Henrik’s mouth unwound.Henrik coughed and spluttered as the lightening let him talk. He then glared at his captor, ‘You can’t do zat!’Dawktrap looked surprised then raised an eyebrow, ‘I let you talk and that’s what you say?’ he chuckled, ‘I already have’ he continued amused. When Henrik didn’t react, he continued. ‘When I was in your waste of space, I felt…restrained’ he growled, but then his face brightened horribly, ‘but here! Well…here, I’m much more powerful because I’m closer to the subscribers.’ He then glared at Henrik, ‘they give me power!’ ‘Yes, ve figured zat out ages ago! Just let me and Jack go!’ Henrik snapped, which just made Dawktrap cackle. ‘No…no no no, I don’t think so’ Henrik’s captor said amused, ‘and besides, it’s not just you two that I’d be letting go’. At this, Henrik’s glare softened and changed to confusion, ‘Vhat?’Dawktrap’s eyes practically glowed with delight, ‘Oh you don’t know?!’ he said in a mocking tone before giggling, ‘I have them all now! All of your little friends are mine!’ he squealed happily, spinning in a circle as he did so. ‘You’re lying…’ Henrik murmured quietly, hoping, praying that Dawktrap was lying. But Dawktrap’s deep giggle said otherwise and the doctor’s face paled. The colour in his cheeks then got worse as his captor started walking towards him. ‘Believe me, I’m not. Once here, I discovered that a possessed ego could spread their possession to their respective creator.’ He explained amused. His face brightened again, his eyes completely manic, ‘But! It works the other way round here too! So, spreading my possession has been too easy!’ he squealed.Henrik’s breathing quickened as he heard this and he felt sick as his eyes travelled to his possessed creator, still standing in the same spot. ‘Jack…?’ Henrik whimpered, ‘Please…say something’.Dawktrap watched him sternly, then suddenly looked back at Jack, ‘Ignore everything that he says. He was always mean to you; he never liked you’ he said in a commanding tone. Henrik whimpered as he heard this then slumped a little, growing weak, as he watched Jack lift his head a little to acknowledge what his captor was saying before nodding, a blank expression on his face now. Dawktrap smirked before turning back to Henrik. He tilted his head as he realized his hostage’s terrified expression. ‘Oh, don’t worry; you won’t be experiencing it; you can go join your brother instead!’ he said gleefully. Henrik’s fear turned to scared confusion as he tore his eyes away from his creator to look at the purple ego. ‘Vha-’ Henrik started to say but was cut off by Dawktrap’s attack. A knife had appeared in the purple ego’s other hand while they were talking, and he quickly plunged it into the doctor’s throat. All Henrik could do was widen his eyes and gasp as the knife went all the way through his neck and to the other side. Seeing this, Dawktrap blinked, fascinated, before smiling widely and pushing the knife upwards to the doctor’s chin. Henrik’s eyes filled with tears while his mouth spewed out blood, but his death was silent.Dawktrap let the lightening untie his hostage and watched as the doctor’s body flopped to the floor, still trembling but slowly and quietly dying. The purple ego just smiled.‘Say hi to Chase for me’ he growled, before suddenly stomping on the doctor’s head. He didn’t even wince at the loud cracking sound the shattered skull made but seemed a little bored by how quickly the ego had gone. With the only sound being the continuing running of Henrik’s blood, Dawktrap tilted his head back and closed his eyes. Now that there was less noise, he could finally hear the struggles and screaming of the other egos and other Youtubers as they became possessed too. Even those that were stuck in the Void. And he smiled. It was wonderful. Slowly opening his eyes, the purple ego looked behind him at Jack and smirked. He then cleared his throat and Jack lifted his head up to listen. Dawktrap looked delighted; this was going far better than he expected.‘This is going well so far, but my possession needs to work faster in order to get everyone to join us’ he said smiling. Jack didn’t respond; Dawktrap wouldn’t let him even if he wanted to. ‘Well, you’re Youtubers right? Why don’t you all make a video telling your ever so loving fans to help us?’ he said, and Jack nodded. Dawktrap then glared, ‘but make sure they can see your eyes at all times, you understand? That’s extremely important’. Jack nodded obediently again and Dawktrap happily watched as Jack set up his recording equipment as if on autopilot. Sending the same message out to the others was the easy part and then they would make a similar type of video, possessing others, and it would spread out, like a virus, travelling from Youtube and further. Dawktrap chuckled.Creating a new world had been too easy....
